CWB Contractors Inc History

Working in various capacities as a laborer, carpenter, and mason, Donald assisted with the completion of many large-scale Massachusetts construction projects including the Brockton Veterans Hospital, Randolph High School, Veterans Housing Project, and Columbia Point Hosing.

In 1955, Donald formed Craftwood Builders, a residential home builder that later added commercial and industrial contracting that specialized in remodeling projects. In 1962, Craftwood secured a franchise with Parkersburg Buildings to offer pre-engineered structures.

In 1972, the organization's name changed to CWB Contractors, Inc to reflect the business's commercial and industrial specialty. In 1981, Parkersburg Buildings became Butler Manufacturing Inc, and CWB became a Butler Builder. CWB is now celebrating 24 years with Butler Manufacturing.

Over the years, the organization has experienced steady growth in the pre-engineered building industry. Our company has expanded from a modest beginning to an operation that employs five full-time office staff and 17 field personnel.

Although Donald has retired from the business, his sons have assumed ownership and manage day-to-day operations. Stephen and Larry assist with construction projects in the field and with the erection of buildings. Jim works full-time in management and sales.
